I am so thankful for you.
It was a chilly Thanksgiving morning
and I love Thanksgiving,
area to see if there was a better option. Ben couldn’t make the consultation but that was no matter. Instead of staying up on the cliffs I drove down to the river front which, because of cliffs, took a good little ride south before I could make way to a lower altitude.
Isn’t there a saying like “serendipity favors the bold”? Something like that, but it applies here. I had to drive south of the bridge, and I when I drove back north I passed directly underneath the GW. I had to stop and just appreciate how perfect of a setting this was for a portrait. The only thing was that it was a solid half mile from the Ross Dock Picnic Area where I eventually ended up and found the perfect proposal site.

but there is no way I was passing up this opportunity. So I was given the low down about the proposal by some of my family. Turns out Julia is actually the daughter of the sister of the wife of the brother of my mother, and her soulmate, Ben, was looking for a photographer to capture him popping the question to her. It was cool to be part of a family affair, and since the proposal site was only 20 minutes from my sister’s I still got the chance to enjoy some turkey.
Ben knew he wanted to propose at the Palisades Cliffs overlooking the George Washington Bridge spanning the Hudson River. Considering it was going to be a holiday and the tight quarters of the location he preferred I decided to drive around the
