Kieran & Rachel

Kieran found me when a former

proposal client of mine

pointed her in my direction. Little did I know Patrick & Melissa were tasked with supporting this unique proposal. When I first spoke with Kieran I was informed that their services were needed because there were actually gonna be two proposals that day. Kieran had the morning and Rachel got to propose to Kieran in the evening. Patrick & Melissa were needed to coordinate the in between to make sure everything was a surprise.

Kieran’s plan was simple, but thoughtful. She commissioned the city of New York Parks and Recreation to get a plaque mounted to one of the few benches in Prospect Park, Brooklyn that they frequent on their walks together. Kieran was going to walk with her to the bench and ask her to sit and hand her a letter she wrote.

When Rachel read the letter and turned to see the plaque she was sitting right in front of she was lost with emotion. I got in closer from there and captured some of the most intense photographs I’ve ever taken. The emotion was high, and yet again the equal but opposite personalities of this incredible couple was on display. While Rachel was balling her eyes out Kieran was chill and calm. Smiles were all she could muster while Rachel was a reservoir of tears.

Patrick & Melissa were near by and came running in with joy and excitement when the time was right. Another one of Rachel’s college friends came from out of nowhere and yet again Rachel couldn’t contain herself. All the while Kieran was smiling proud.
