Trust me, just go have some fun
with your friends.
Tommy & Jaclyn
Some proposals really
are a team effort.
Such was the case with Tommy and his plan to have Jaclyn head to the park with some of her closest friends. They knew the deal and we all had a group text started to make sure any deviations from the plan were gonna hit all participating parties.
Tommy’s personality was clean cut, chill, and thorough. He had a boardroom like demeanor that was to the point, but also creative. We vibed quickly and I think he was impressed with my attention to detail. We found the right spot on Cove Island up in Stamford, Connecticut, taking into account the time of the shoot and where the Sun was going to be. I learned the hard way in my early days that what happens on a sunny day when the sun doubles up because of the reflection off the water. Devastating.
I insisted we shoot later in the day and we found a time late in the afternoon that we were able to sneak an exciting and fun proposal shoot in before the rain came down. It’s a bigger park than it looks on Maps and it’s wide open except for a few trees and big rocks. It’s times like these I think about breaking the bank for an extra 200 millimeters, but there’s really no other justification for dropping 5 figures.
As Jaclyn arrived with the devious team of best friends and she saw her man sitting there she knew something was up. The light was perfect, bright but soft from the thin cloud cover. It was tinted gold and when he finally laid the rock on her she could hardly contain herself. Neither could the team.
